The FSU gamma ray array consists of 3 CLOVER detectors, 1 80% single crystal HpGe detector and several small (25%) Hpge detectors all surrounded by BGO scintillators for vetoing the Compton scattered gamma rays. We have temporarily augmented the array with 3 additional detectors from the Clarion Array giving a total efficiency of 1.4% at 1MeV. The detectors are generally put at three angles, forward (~35deg), 90 deg and backward (~145 deg) for angular distribution measurements. The array is coupled to XIA based digital data acquisition system. Discrete gamma ray spectroscopy with the array is used for nuclear structure studies at high spin for nuclei produced in various reactions using the tandem-linac beams.
